Jul 04, 2011 · A user periodically, almost daily, reports a network printer offline. It's shared out on a 2008 R2 server. HP printer. The user and printer are on the same subnet. When the user reports the printer offline, I can ping it. I'm on a different subnet. I have not yet tried to ping from the user's printer while it's offline.
