i was using this extension called "AHA Music - Music Identifier" to identify songs playing on streaming sites like twitch etc, it used to work before i updated chrome to the latest version and now it says "your browser can not record audio" , i tried other extensions that record audio playing in a tab and these also didn't work so it has to be some chrome setting that i might have messed up
