Jul 30, 2014 · Of course, the downside of increased security is that the read and write time is now longer than that of TrueCrypt. Just like TrueCrypt, VeraCrypt supports different encryption algorithms like AES, Twofish, Serpent, and a combination of these algorithms.
Is there anything out there better than Truecrypt/Keepass combo? Years ago, I created similar 2TB volume with Truecrypt and it completed successfully in less than 24 hours. I use Mac, Linux and Windows and so Truecrypt and Veracrypt are really ideal for me. But they are useless if they cannot handle large volume and are slow.
